You are fascinated by spinning on the electric wheel, you want to know more about it and try it out for yourself. Maybe you’ve already taken a trial class and want to learn more…
In this course, I’ll teach you the basic skills you need to start creating your own first pieces on the potter’s wheel.
On the first day, you’ll practice centering the clay, and you’ll learn how to break it up, pull it up, and shape it.
On the second day, I’ll show you how to finish (turn) the vessels, which are now leather-hard. You’ll also learn how a plate is formed on the wheel and try your hand at turning a plate.
On a subsequent evening, after the first firing, you’ll draw inspiration from my wide variety of glazes and glaze the vessels you’ve created according to your own ideas. You can pick up the finished mugs, small bowls, and other items from my studio about 2 weeks later.
